The House of One introduces itself. Imam Osman Örs and administrative director Roland Stolte talk about the work of the foundation, the planned sacred building on Petriplatz and the history of this primeval Berlin town as part of the excursion series Ortsbekenntnis - Bekenntnisorte der Guardini-Stiftung Ortsbekenntnis – Bekenntnisorte .
About 250 religious communities are part of Berlin's urban fabric. They take an active part in the shaping of coexistence - not only in religious, but also in social, political and urban planning terms. How do religious communities face the challenges of urban coexistence? How does religious identity develop in the urban environment? And what are the potentials for the further development of urban neighbourhoods? This is the theme of the Guardini Foundation's excursion series, the final goal of which will be presented in this
House of One will be built on. Imam Osman Oers and the theologian Roland Stolte (both House of One) talk about the vision behind the project and the opportunities and resistance along the way.
On the foundations of the former Petrikirche, which was first mentioned in a document in the 13th century, the construction of this very special place of confession will begin next year. A synagogue, a mosque and a church will be grouped around a common central room, open to people of any religion or belief. A place of learning, encounter and exchange is to be created. The founders - a Jewish, a Christian and a Muslim community - share basic values such as non-violence and Ehrfurt above all life, equality, solidarity, respect and truthfulness.
The tour is free of charge, but registration is required at firstname.lastname@example.org or 030 217 358 22.
Under the motto "Berlin says thank you", the ecumenical service in front of the Gedächtniskirche under the patronage of the Governing Mayor Michael Müller on Sunday celebrates the voluntary commitment in the time of the pandemic.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attack of September 11 on the Twin Towers in New York. For many years, the House of One has been calling on people to pray together for peace on this day. This year, too, we would like to come together to commemorate and pray.
The House of One presents co-host the German premiere of the documentary film of "SÌRÌRÌ - LE CARDINAL ET L'IMAM" at the Human Rights Film Festival Berlin (HRFFB). The film by director Manuel von Stürler accompanies the tremendously courageous peace work of Cardinal Dieudonné Nzapalainga and Imam Abdoulaye Ouasselegue in the Central African Republic, torn apart by years of war, with the camera.
