"Seek peace and pursue it"

"Religions and Peace - How can that succeed?" Our Imam Osman Örs will give a lecture on these questions as part of the series of talks on interreligious dialogue in Berlin's district Treptow-Köpenick, followed by a discussion.

Most people want nothing more than peace. In conversations it sometimes becomes clear that there are different ideas about peace. The importance that the churches attach to this theme is reflected in their choice of the 2019 motto of the year: "Seek peace and pursue it". But how can this succeed? Are there successful role models?

Imam Osman Örs will report from his daily dialogue and understanding work, to which the interreligious foundation House of One has dedicated itself. Together with Pastor Ulrich Kastner and Pastor Marit von Homeyer, further reflections as well as practical ideas and projects will be discussed on this evening.

The evening will be moderated by Constanze Körner of the SozDia Foundation Berlin. The discussion evening is the last of three events in the discussion series "Faith - Responsibility - Peace".
