It has become a tradition at the House of One: On the annual Heritage Open Days (Tag des offenen Denkmals), we join archaeologist Claudia Melisch in inviting visitors to the construction site of the House of One. This rare opportunity allows those interested to explore the historic Petriplatz from an archaeological perspective.
Claudia Melisch, long-time excavation director at Petriplatz, will guide tours on both days across the construction site of the House of One and provide fascinating insights into the centuries-long history of this special place – from the beginnings of Berlin’s urban development to the most recent excavations. There is hardly another person besides Claudia Melisch who could speak with such depth about the historical significance of the future location of the House of One.
