Global call for Prayer for Solidarity in Corona times

Jews, Christians and Muslims of the House of One wholeheartedly follow the global call for prayer on May 14 at 2 p.m. of the "Higher Committee on human fraternity" (HCHF). This call is to create solidarity and togetherness across all borders. The Covid-19 pandemic has shown just how vulnerable humans are. We are connected around the world through this shared experience, tragically an experience of suffering.

An act of anti-semitism

In times of growing anti-Semitism, the Berlin congregation of St. Peter's and St. Mary's together with Rabbi Andreas Nachama (House of One) set a sign of admonition and reconciliation. With an inter-religious prayer for peace, after more than 80 years a replica of the former Tetragram (the Hebrew name of God JHWH) is attached to the Parochial Church.

"Frauen sind missratene Männer." So beschrieb es der Philosoph und Theologe Thomas von Aquin im 13. Jahrhundert. Auch andere Religionen setzten Frauen enge Grenzen und tun es zum Teil bis heute. In einem mehrtägigen Workshop wird die heutige Realität von Frauen im Judentum, Christentum und dem Islam beleuchtet.

The synagogue congregation of Sukkat Schalom invites you to a multi-religious commemoration of the Reichspogromnacht, among others with Berlin's the designated protestant bishop Christian Stäblein. On November 9, 81 years ago, synagogues were destroyed in Germany and Germans of Jewish faith were arbitrarily arrested and abused.
