Interfaith Prayer for Peace in Remembrance of the Victims of Sydney

In remembrance of the victims of the antisemitic terrorist attack in Sydney, Rabbi Andreas Nachama, Pastor Marion Gardei and Imam Kadir Sanci invite you to an interfaith prayer for peace. Once a month, within the context of the House of One, Jewish, Muslim, Christian and many other people come together to pause and to set a shared sign of peace, solidarity and humanity.

People were attacked because they wanted to celebrate the beginning of the festival of Hanukkah. We mourn the dead, think of the injured and their families, and stand in solidarity with Jewish communities around the world. At the same time, we oppose all forms of hatred, antisemitism and violence, and reaffirm the shared values that sustain our society.

What is possible on a small scale can also succeed on a larger one: respect, friendship and the recognition of diversity as a strength. Since October 2023, we have been praying together for the many places of suffering in the world and for a future of justice and peace.
