Interreligious Prayer for Peace in February

Once a month, we come together – Jewish, Muslim, Christian, and many others – for a joint prayer for peace. Religious boundaries do not matter; we pray side by side, each in their own tradition. Attention: Due to scheduling reasons, this will no longer take place on the last Thursday of the month!

The next prayer will be on:

with Rabbi Andreas Nachama, Pastor Marion Gardei, Imam Kadir Sanci
and everyone who wants to pause with us and join in prayer for a peaceful coexistence.

What we achieve in the small can also succeed on a larger scale: coming together, exchanging ideas, showing respect, and fostering friendship. Recognizing our differences as a source of enrichment and celebrating our commonalities. Together, we set an example.

We started these regular prayers in October when Hamas attacked Israel, leading to the Gaza war. We also turn our attention to other places where people are suffering, such as Ukraine, Sudan, or after the attack on kindergarten children in Aschaffenburg.

“The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice,” said Martin Luther King. Whether consciously or unconsciously, people ultimately strive for justice. Many must work together for this striving to become reality.
