Corona: Groundbreaking Ceremony postponed

Dear friends of the House of One,

the developments of the past few days make it inevitable: we have cancelled the groundbreaking ceremony of the House of One planned for April 14, 2020.

Currently, the top priority is to slow down the spread of the corona virus in the coming days and weeks. Accordingly, we also want to help, to the best of our ability, to implement the guidelines issued by the State of Berlin on 14 March as consistently as possible. The matinée at the Deutsches Theater scheduled for March 22 will therefore also not take place.

Certainly we would have liked to welcome you to this important step next month. We had prepared a festive event for the laying of the foundation stone, combined with a two-day conference on "Religions as Bridge Builders". We were looking forward to welcome representatives of our international partner projects, guests from New York and Amman, Bangui and Tirana, and our project ambassadors - wonderful guests from ten different countries.

But - we will make up for it! We cannot say yet when that will be. But we will let you know the new date for the groundbreaking ceremony via our website and our newsletter.

To concentrate now on the steps ahead of us and to take it with all due care is also something that defines the House of One. In this sense, all our thoughts go to those who are most threatened by the spread of the virus. Take care of yourself and your loved ones and stay healthy!
