In times of uncertainty, many people seek stability, meaning, and a sense of belonging – and often find it in their faith. The documentary “What Do You Believe In?” explores the role religion plays in the lives of young people in Berlin and Brandenburg. The film follows five remarkable young believers who open their doors, share their rituals, and speak candidly about their spiritual journeys.

One of the protagonists is Islamic theologian Kübra Dalkilic, who, together with her co-hosts Rebecca Rogowski, a Jewish adult educator, and Maike Schöfer, a Protestant pastor, discusses this very topic on the House of One podcast “331 – 3 Women, 3 Religions, 1 Topic.” The film movingly captures the depth of their conversations, while also showing how naturally and openly people can talk about faith in everyday life. This openness has the power to break down prejudices.

The documentary “What Do You Believe In?” is now available in the ARD Mediathek. These authentic stories of young believers are truly inspiring.

You can watch "Was glaubst Du?" directly in the ARD-Mediathek.
