Last week, the House of One welcomed a distinguished delegation from Indonesia, Pakistan, and India. Organized by the Goethe-Institut, the visit fostered a meaningful exchange on religious coexistence and peaceful dialogue.
Among our guests were Prof. Dr. Fathul Wahid, Rector of Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) in Yogyakarta, Dr. Noorjehan Safia Niaz from the Indian organization Bharatiya Muslim Mahila Andolan (BMMA), and Muhammad Taimur Fahad Khan from the Institute of Strategic Studies in Islamabad. The delegates showed great interest in the work of the House of One and took many lasting impressions back to their home countries.
“House of One is indeed a great and bold step,” said Prof. Wahid, who published a detailed travel report in the Indonesian media outlet Analisis Republika, reflecting on his experiences with interfaith dialogue in Germany. His conclusion: The Berlin-based project is an internationally recognized model for peaceful coexistence and mutual respect among religions.
