Once a month, we come together – Jewish, Muslim, Christian, and many others – to pray for peace. We stand side by side, united by the shared desire for peaceful coexistence in the world.
On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the liberation from National Socialism and the end of the war in Europe, we invite you, together with the Evangelische Kirche EKBO, to join the interreligious prayer for peace on
Thursday, May 8th at 5:00 PM
at Breitscheidplatz in front of the Memorial Church
with Bishop Christian Stäblein, Rabbi Andreas Nachama, Imam Kadir Sanci, Pastor Marion Gardei,
and everyone who wishes to pause with us and
join in prayer for peaceful coexistence.
We believe: What we achieve on a small scale can succeed on a larger one. Coming together, exchanging, respecting, and fostering friendship. Recognizing our differences as enrichment and celebrating our commonalities – this is the message we want to convey together.
Since October 2023, following the Hamas attack on Israel, we gather once a month to reflect on the many places of suffering and pray for the people there who, like all of us, want to live in peace.
"The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice," said Martin Luther King. But for it to truly bend, we need people who commit to peace and justice. Let us walk this path together.
