From our series "Lesezeichen": Freedom. God Does Not Want Slaves

God desires that His creations live in freedom and not oppress one another. The entire Jewish Bible recounts God's acts of liberation for His people and individuals. Jesus sought to free people from sin and death. The Quran recalls the stories of the biblical prophets, who endured oppression and fought for justice and freedom. The first Muslims, living under torture and oppression, saw the prophetic experiences as both comfort and guidance. But what does freedom mean to us personally as believers and in daily life?
