House of One in London's Victoria & Albert Museum

"The Future Starts Here 100 projects shaping the world of tomorrow" is the title of the current special exhibition at London's Victoria&Albert Museum (V&A), which also presents the House of One as a pioneering peace project. The show is open until 4 November 2018.

An architectural model of the House of One almost one meter high has been on view since the exhibition's start on 12 May. On the basis of this model, the socially binding idea of the project is presented, according to which three religious communities erect a house with synagogue, church and mosque around a central room in which the secular majority society is welcomed. The renowned collection house was so convinced of the idea that it had purchased the wooden model for its collection.

In the V&A's opening press release, it read: "The way urban areas are designed to meet some of today's greatest challenges, including climate change, religious intolerance and housing crisis, will be examined. Foster + Partners' model of their 6 million square metre Masdar City in Abu Dhabi, the world's first climate-neutral, waste-free city, will be alongside the model of the House of One design by architects Kuehn Malvezzi, a three-part church where people of different faiths can gather and engage in a respectful dialogue".
