The situation of the House of One partners in the Central African Republic cannot be compared with that in Berlin, Haifa or Tbilisi. With great courage and personal risk, religious leaders such as Cardinal Nzapalainga, Pastor Sing-Na or Imam Ouasselegue and their supporters advocate for peaceful coexistence. In the country, warlords incite religious groups against each other in order to distract from the actual, brutally fought battle for diamonds, gold or power. For their fearless commitment to peace in this bloody conflict, Cardinal Nzapalainga and Imam Kobine Layama, who has since died, received the Aachen Peace Prize in 2015.
Now the "Plateforme des Confessions Religieuses de Centrafrique" (PCRC), the peace platform of religions in Central Africa, as a partner project of the House of One, plans to continue the idea of "building peace" in their country. It is a community project by and for Christian, Muslim and all other people of the Central African society.
