The Peace Academy aims to strengthen and empower young people to work for peace, tolerance and solidarity in the Caucasus and beyond. Founded in October 2002, the initial aim was to re-enable bridges of friendship, understanding and dialogue between young victims of war in the Georgian-Abkhazian conflict. Bishop Ilia Osepashvili, House of One project ambassador, leads the Academy with others, which to this day organizes youth camps between Muslim, Christian, Yezidi and other children and youth in Georgia. Together with Bishop Malkhaz and Imam Aliev, both are also project ambassadors of the House of One, they initiated also another project, the Peace Cathedral. In a former warehouse in Tbilisi, a House of One is being built, so to speak. In addition to the already existing cathedral, a mosque, a synagogue and a large meeting room have been built.
